4 Factors That Impact SEO Rankings

Whether you have MyPersonalSubmitter, FastDirectroySubmitter, 4DL or any other automated directory submission software, be aware that there are other factors that will affect your submissions. Automatic directory submission is for submitting your website link to search engines. It will not help you with getting the first criterion in getting your link accepted. Persisting in submitting your link to search engine directories without knowing what you need in order to be accepted could get your website banned.

When webmasters found out about programs that could automate directory submission, many thought that they could just do away with manual labor and leave everything to the machine. This is not so; this type of thinking is what causes many to complain about how the software performs. One thing you should know is that the software fails because the webmaster himself has failed.

One criterion that search engines look for in a website is the reciprocal links that connect it to the internet. If these links are good, in focus, and numerous, the search engine gives moves it up the priority list. Having many reciprocal links is not as important as how reputable the other sites are and whether the websites are related to each other. If, for instance, the website is all about boats, related websites could be about fishing and fishing gear. A website on boats cannot be related through any stretch of imagination, with a casino site, or a site on child care. Having these kinds of unrelated reciprocal links could only mean that the links are forced and not voluntarily made. If a website has no reciprocal links, search engines will not even bother about it.

Another important factor that many webmasters do not know of is time. Search engine marketing companies know that it takes time to make good ties just as it takes time to make many friends. If a website gets connected to many other sites too fast, flags are raised and the search engine webmasters begin to doubt the integrity of the site. Build ties slowly and consistently. 5 to 10 links a day for a new domain is acceptable; 150 links in 1 or 2 days is not.

Even the webmaster’s email address could make or break the submitted link. Sometimes, webmasters submit email ads that are not linked to their domain. This raises flags and would certainly raise eyebrows. Why does a webmaster use a free email address when he has his own domain?

And finally, be sure that the directory you are submitting your link to is relevant to your website. You simply cannot blame the software for failing when you force it to submit your boat building website link to a medical SEO directory. The search engine will flat out reject it, or if it is accepted, the search engine webmaster could simply discard it later.

So there you have it: the 4 factors that could get your website into an SEO directory or not. Before you install that software and bombard the internet with requests for link submission, take a while to see if your website fits their criteria. If not, you still have a lot of work to do.
