Deeper Problems in India

I got an email from Care.Org pinpointing a common problem in India. The email reads:

India has one of the highest rates of malnutrition in the world with almost half its children underweight. For every 100 babies born in India, 12 die before reaching their fifth birthday. Malnutrition plays a contributing factor, in that it increases a child's susceptibility to disease and decreases the chances of survival when a child falls ill.

While it is true that there has been a steady economic growth in India spurred by manufacturing, information technology boom, and outsourcing jobs, India is still in quandary how it can manage its wealth that has to be divided among more than a billion souls.

Population control can help India balance its wealth and consumption.
