What you don’t know about Photobucket

Usually we just use Photobucket or any image hosting site without reading its "terms of service." Photobucket, though it is providing free photo hosting, has certain limitations that you should know. Otherwise, if you keep on using Photobucket and you commit infractions in any of the policies and your justification is that "I don't know that", you are not exempted from liability.

So before you use any website, read first its term of service. Doing so would spare you from legal or personal trouble that may pop up unknowingly in the future. The following is the introduction of the terms of terms Photobucket users must have agreed when they use the website:

By using or accessing this website, or any website hosted at the photobucket.com domain name (the "Site"), or by using any of the content hosting and sharing services provided via the Site (including without limitation the Photobucket Media Plug-in or any APIs) ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by the Privacy Policy of Photobucket Inc. ("Photobucket"), which are collectively referred to as the "Agreement." Please read the terms of this Agreement carefully. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, then you may not use or access the Site or any of the Services.

Photobucket may, in its sole discretion, modify this Agreement from time to time, and may modify, suspend, or terminate the Site and Services, for any reason, and without notice. Each revision will be marked with a revision date and will be posted on the Site. Photobucket recommends that you review these terms from time to time to note any changes. Although you may be asked to indicate your assent to the terms of this Agreement only once (e.g., when you register for a Photobucket account), the terms of this Agreement, as modified by Photobucket from time to time, will govern all use of the Site and Services. By continuing to use or access the Site or any of the Services, you agree to be bound by the Terms of Service in effect at the time of such use or access.
